Varsity Men vs Fayetteville Christian Preview

The Varsity Crusaders enter Friday nights match-up against Fayetteville Christian coming off a Conference loss to Village Christian Academy. The Crusaders fell short 66-60 after a heated game that led to a fight at the end of the game provoked by a Village Christian fan who was eventually ejected. The Crusaders failed to produce on offense and missed multiple free throws at the end of the game which could have reduced the lead. The loss handed the Crusaders their second loss of the season. (7-2) Overall (0-1) Conference.

The Warriors enter the Match-up with the Crusaders with a record of 5-3. Fayetteville Christian is 1-0 in conference play after defeating Cape Fear Academy in their previous conference opener 57-51. The Warriors are led by a group of 6 seniors who provide leadership and experience to the Warriors' team.

The Crusaders come into the game led by their leading scorer, sophomore center , Quate McKinzie. McKinzie averages 15.3 points per game (PPG) and 11.8 rebounds per game (RPG). He is coming off of a 19 point performance against Village Christian. McKinzie also managed to pull in 9 rebounds for the Crusaders in their previous outing. Harrells Christian is also boosted by the play of senior forward, Graham DiPinto. He averages 14.7 PPG and 7.7 RPG. DiPinto did not disappoint in his last game by scoring 23 points and grabbing 9 boards.

The Crusaders look to even their conference record and get back on track in Friday night's game against an experienced, talented Fayetteville Christian team.
